I think that it's the work of a disgruntled poster whose aim is to destroy this website.
The malicious intent is evident in his somehow figuring out how to entirely delete the contents of entire threads, leaving just his sick images.
He's wiped out everyone else's posts on multiple threads in the General forum, and he taunts the mods and administrators.
The guy's a major menace who should be quarantined like a computer virus - or bad adware.
[OK, I just noticed that the other posters posts were not deleted - just marginalized by the oversized grossly obscene avatar - and not visible on my screen]
The simple remedy would be to limit avatar sizes and pay moderators to work on weekends. |

| And that was apparently his intention. It is a form of cyberterrorism. Seize the initiative, harass, disrupt, force the mods to respond and react, provoke dissatisfaction among as many of the posters as possible. Classic kind of guerrilla warfare adapted to the internet. |

Right. I did not know about people's blaming Dave Sperling, personally. Apparently this is going on in the other forums (general, what-have-you)?
In any case, it comes as no surprise. Classic guerrilla-like pattern, just virtual and not actually real. At the end of the day, however, seems to be pretty close to the same thing in this case, which, if it is happening on all the fora here, makes it a systematic thing. How long has this been going on?
Has anyone considered the possibility that a rival website or a very disgrunted former poster (or a collection of very disgruntled former posters) is behind this? We should infer that this person's (or these persons'?) objective is to destroy this website, or at least force its fora to shut down.

Yeah. That's what annoyed me last night. These silly posters were doing the troll's work for him. Everyone wants everything done yesterday and they were complaining about the mods. The mods aren't gods. Enrico came by soon and enough and sorted it out. What a lot of whingers. |

He used for his avatar, a huge image that took up half the screen. Yes, that's the one. Seen it before also.
I do hope you are wrong about avatars being banned.  I already hate that we can no longer post images because of this juvenile.  |
