but you've gone on and on in many threads about how you're on your way over, all to different schools from different recruiters, yet during your posts updating us of your adventures in coming over you've not once mentioned FT Union.

I never mentioned FT Union because I never had any questions from FT Union. I thought that they were pretty good, but after I didn't hear anything back from them after my degree was no longer in my hands, I was looking on a recruiter black list (just browsing) and there was a thread about FT Union, and Stephanie. See, someone besides me has had problems with the company. Gasp, maybe we should call that person a recruiter as well because no one, and I mean no one, can have a problem with the company and be telling the truth. I mean really, they must be the best darn recruiting agency in the world if the almight Gord likes them with his oh so high standards and his perfection.

While this has been fun, it has turned into nothing but attacking someone for having a different opinion, and while I admit I did have fun coming up with remotely corny comebacks, I have better things to do with my time, like preparing to go to our beloved South Korea with a recruiter called Robin Park to an OSS school in Seongnam. Hope to meet lots of you in a few weeks (my job starts on Jan. 5th).

By the way, I would recommend Footprints Recruiting, especially Nicki and Jeff. They were great, even though I didn't end up using them. But then if anyone has had negative experiences with them, they must be lying because I liked them (sound familiar?).

Jennifer

Anyone looking for a decent agency is welcome to PM me.

After all, I am no advertising *beep*. Unless you pay me, that is.

PS - If you're looking for a really keen bookstore, try whatthebook (www.whatthebook.com). The owner is really nice, and when I went there last Monday, he gave me a hot-oil massage and shared some hash brownies with me.

I used people Recruiting. They were pretty good. Checked up on me twice during the time I was here. Generally speaking I don't use a recruiter, but this time I did, and was quite happy with their services.

Hi,

Recruiters can be a nightmare and most post do not use a recruiter. If you are looking for one, then try Footprints Recruiting. Ben and Jeff are very professional in their approach to placing suitable candidates in pre approved schools. Just a recommendation, but give them a whirl. Smile

to tell you the truth, i think you are mad Very Happy using a recruiter that is based in canada. recruiters are bad enough as it is when you use one in korea. if the recruiter is on the other side of the world then they are going to screw you over more and more. use your common sense and don't have anything to do with recruiters not based in korea. i could say, use your common sense and don't get involved with any recruiters but at the moment that is impossible and there are some good ones out there. do your research.

also, recruiters are not there to hold your hand and be your mum. they are there to, believe it or not, recruit. once they have you set up in a job then they are under no obligation to contact you ever again. remember, recruiters collect a large fee from schools. they will come across all nice and lovely and act like they really do care for you, but in fact, they don't. all they see is the money they will earn and that is all they care about. not whether your schedule has been changed by the school, or your that your apartment is bug infested etc, etc.
