4 options:
1) borrow a copy
2) go to the tunnel at Yongsan and buy an "unauthorized distribution" copy (about 20k won).
3) go to the Microsoft shop in the terminal building and buy a new copy (110k won for the English OEM version of Home and up to 160k for Pro).
4) download a copy from your favorite torrent site, burn it onto a CD and use that (crack and/or key not required).
pick one.
IF you choose #1 or #4, make sure it is the same as the version you are using.

ttompatz - I am looking to buy "genuine XP in English" but I'm not sure exactly where you mean by the terminal building for the microsoft shop. Is this Yongsan? |

I had this same problem a few months ago. After several days of trial and error, the way I finally got the IME installed was to download the installation "CD" from mininova. You don't have to burn it to a CD, though, if you have image-mounting software like Alcohol 120% or Magic .iso. Mount the image to any virtual drive, then when windows asks where the file is, browse and open the virtual drive and voila! |

Yongsan, the big blue building across the tracks from the station.
