The lens is the equivalent of having a 28-300mm zoom on a 35mm camera.

It takes great pictures.

Worth more than $100. I have one. It's a beautiful camera that takes pictures that are very competitive with the popular digital slr's without the lens hassles. One drawback is no image stabilization, however you can shoot really fast f stops and still get good quality resolution because it has a much better chip behind it than (for instance) a Lumix, which has image stabilization but a cheap processor chip.
It's worth $400 IMHO

| These are outstanding cameras for portraits and outdoor shots. Worlds better than pocket cameras, but a bit below DSLR's. I had a Finepix s5500 and loved it. Although it is nice to have 1 small bag with everything you need as opposed to a backpack for everything! This is certainly more than enough camera for 99% of photographers. Those lowball offers don't even merit a response. Good luck. |
