According to the calander on my phone it is, but according to my K co-workers it isn't.

This was a government consession for the decrease in the 6 day work week to the now standard 5 day work week. Sucks for us but that's the reason.

As others have stated, no. Actually it screws up our schedule at school and we end up having to do make up classes, so it doesn't matter much to me. There were quite a few holidays in May and June, which was nice except for scheduling make ups.
