^A link to a crummy job. Feel free to take it.
Finally, I'm not working for this company anymore.
Here's a list of their wrong-doings (that have been un-covered so far, through myself and about 12 other foreign teachers):
-They offered my friend and I two jobs in the same city, but then tried relocating him (he's a newb) without telling me. I'd already landed in Korea, and he was back in his country of origin. We only signed with them to work in the same city.
-After he declined the job after hearing from me, they tried getting me to move their... I did for a week and they put me up in a nice hotel..... a love motel......... and a bad one at that.
-They wouldn't return his documents to me so he could get a new job. They only returned them when I took a 'strike-day' against them. They tried getting him to come here on the same visa, but said he'd be fine to sign with a different employer.
-They gave me the dumpiest of dumpy apartments. After I requested an upgrade on last year's basement cockroach party. They said it was, "good for a foreigner."
-They tax at 5%, but the Elementary school also takes tax from the money the parents pay, so you get taxed twice. You will also be registered as a business owner. If you ask any tax questions, expect to get fired (like my Korean co-teacher). They will say it's because the students don't like you and there are many complaints.
-Expect to be asked to do either illegal things (with regard to immigration laws), and asked to work a morning job 1 hour away for 10,000 won per hour, and then cursed at for not taking it.
-Once attendence drops at your school, expect to be fired, because the students don't like you and there have been numerous complaints about you fighting with 8 year olds.
-If you like to be paid late, this is the place for you. 3 months..... 3 late pays. The 3rd one I questioned. First they said, "It is you, Mr. Susan, who has the wrong payday." (So my contract was lying to me?). When I questioned that, they said, "Oh, your supervisor is sick in hospital." I replied, "Have you been paid? Has she paid herself?" Then she called me, and informed me I had been fired for asking about late pay, and for refusing to work at a different school from my contract and E-2 visa.
-And last of all...... they wouldn't give me a letter of release until I signed a document saying that they 'owed my nothing.' My last pay was about 1 million won after they too kaway my aifares. In my contract it said that 1 month's notice should be given from either party in the event the contract is ended early. So I was stuck in Korea, with little money, and couldn't afford a lawyer, or the time to go through the crummy Korean legal process. (I don't know if it is crummy, I just didn't want to find out)
So I signed my rights away and got a new job with a decent employer that cares....
For anyone currently in ASN's employment, or anybody thinking about taking a job with them. Search: "ASN International" on facebook. There is a group of pissed off foreigners working for these ass-clowns. All of them with the same, or worse conditions than myself.
I suggested that they be banned from advertising here, while ago, and I see they are still posting ads here. Something really needs to be done about that. |

Damn, sorry to hear about your situation and thanks for the heads up. BTW I might given them a call or email and screw with them for a bit. I would love to hear their answer when I demand to talk to a present/former teacher. |

'within' not 'with in"
Dude is a typical Dave's poster, sounds like a negative jack-ass. I don't need any more negative views while in Korea. It's hard enough living here without negative ass-munchers making stupid comments. |

Maybe try to find one first.
Legally it is not allowed to create a blacklist. |
