I'm planning on backpacking SE asia for 3 months when I'm done my contract, then coming back to get my stuff before flying home. Any advise on the cheapest place to fly to round-trip? Or might it be better for me to fly 1-way there and 1-way back since I'm planning on starting in Bali and ending in Hongkong? |

You might get a RT to Hong Kong from Korea and then take Air Asia to KL, Malaysia and then to Bali. Air Asia is a great way to hop around SE Asia and can easily be purchased through travel agents in each market they fly. You could also get a 1 way to Bangkok and then make your way around SE Asia on Air Asia to eventually end up in Honk Kong which will have connecting flights to Korea. There's lots of ways to catch this tiger by the tail.
You can also have your stuff shipped home from Korea and do a round the world by making separate hops with layovers of your choice. |

If you are really looking for dirt cheap, take the slow ferry from Incheon to China, then travel by train to Vietnam. Then hop on a low-cost carrier across to Thailand.
Alternatively take the beetle from Busan to Fukuoka and then go on bangkokair.com for a low-cost flight from either Fukuoka or Hiroshima to Thailand. It is a good way to go, if you are not in a hurry.
If you fly out of Korea, then you will pay a minimum $500 US return for even the closest places like Taipei or Qingdao. More likely it will be nudging $700 for a ticket to China or Japan proper and above $1000US for SE Asia non-stop. |

Depends what time of the year you wish to leave and how long you book in advance for. There are deals to be had-check the travel company faq for details. |
