|
|
I posted this on someone else's thread with a different topic title so I thought I'd do it again here.....
Planning to go to hospital this week to get medical check for immi (renewal of arc for pub school contract)...my co teacher is planning to come along to help with translation but doesnt seem to have much information as to whether or not I should have a form I hand in, when I get the results do I have to go back in person, or do they send them to me. How much does the test cost? How long does it take?
I know we are required to give blood and urine samples and that possibly other things are checked like hearing, vision, blood pressure etc.....
but is it enough to just walk in and say Im here for the medical check that immi requires?? Or something more specific.
Im in Busan if that makes a difference, and any help would be really really appreciated!! |

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has a required form in English which you must give to the doctor. If your co-teacher doesn't have that form handy, have him or her contact the supervisor of foreign teachers at BMOE to get the thing.
Also be sure to have the coteacher explain to the doctor NOT TO PUT AN X OR CHECK MARK on the lines next to the diseases or conditions which you do not have!
The Dong-Eui University Medical Center (not located anywhere near Dong-Eui University, oddly enough) is one of the approved places in Busan for this. I'll dig up the contact information and edit this post tomorrow. |

The form I mentioned is part of the application package for contracting/recontracting with the BMOE. Call them and they'll tell you the places they'll accept for your medical exam. I haven't found the contact information yet but will try to get it tonight. |
