I gave my ex money to buy some stock in GS Engineering and construction. She told me the stock value has fallen significantly over the last month. I have no idea how much they were worth when she bought them in January. All I know is i bought around $2,500 worth and want to find out how much they are worth now.
Cheers in advance for any info. |

to add to this:
at the top of the page there is a search bar, to the left 4 options you can select. Choose the second one, 주가조회 (view stock prices)
then search for GS건설
which should be the company you invested in..

Hey guys. Thanks for the info. I'm clueless when it comes to stock. I checked the the page for GS and there is a figure of 94,900. What does that mean? The stock was bought around Dec/Jan so looking at the graph does it mean the value was around 14,500 then? I should have checked all this before just handing over the money. Sorry for sounding like a real dumbass. Any info appreciated.

looking at the graph there...the price was about 140,000 during the Dec/Jan period...now the price is 94,900. Yup...you lost about 30%.
Ask your ex/financial-advisor what price she paid for the stock...but be prepared for your $2500 to be worth in the region of $1600-1700. |

tough break there.. construction is really cyclical so whenever a downturn comes along (ie. now), a stock like that is going to get punished. korean stocks look great for the long term though and the trouble we're seeing now is going to lead to some real bargains later. |
