Helms coauthored a bill authorizing $600 million for international AIDS relief efforts. In 2002, Helms announced that he was ashamed to have done so little during his Senate career to fight the worldwide spread of AIDS and pledged to do more during his last few months in the Senate.

"Compromise, hell! ... If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?"
Jesse Helms

Considering the facts that have since been revealed about MLK, and the fact that no US president his own holiday set aside - not Jefferson, not Washington, not even Andrew Jackson - I agree with Helms, the US should not have a MLK day.

Custer, by the way, was also NOT a member of the Illuminati, though he might have been a Rosicrucian. I'll have to check on that.
On the afternoon of November 23, 1963, Jesse Helms was sitting at home quietly reading a good book. Can't remember the name of it, but it was something inspirational and uplifting, and definitely not one of those European tomes that have the word "Death" in the title. Anyway, he was nowhere near Dealey Plaza or The Grassy Knoll. That's just some other guy who looked a little bit like him.
(That guy on The Grassy Knoll Knoll who looked a little bit like Jesse Helms? I know what you're thinking, but no, HE was not a member of the Illuminati either. Mighta been a Freemason, though - those cats are EVERYwhere.) |
