Myself and family will be arriving in Seoul in about 3 weeks time for a few days. There will be six of us in all and so I was wondering if anyone could spot me some info on a good motel / guesthouse in a good area. As this will be at the start of a few weeks travelling, it would be nice to find somewhere for about the 50000-60000 mark. It would be good to get some twin rooms to reduce the cost. Any info would be greatly appreciated !

If you want a cheap crash pad in Itaewon:

If you wanted an actual hotel, I'd just book it on Expedia or walk into any love motel anywhere.

i recently put up some family members at the biwon hotel in wonnam-dong. www.biwonhotel.com. it was 70,000 per room. the hallways of the hotel were a little run donw, but the quality and variety of rooms was great. it's a 10 minute walk from anguk station and insadong in one direction or hyehwa in the other. a little beyond your intended price range, but worth consideration. i believe the rooms are listed at a higher price on the internet, but they're willing to discount it.

www.hotel.co.kr has an English-language section and lots of bargains IF you reserve online.
