So while I'm sure we have all had the displeasure of seeing alkehine's grotesque pictures. This is a good opportunity to seriously consider what this board has become. Now he will be banned, probably. But what about the other morons who post crap on here. This should be a place of serious discussion about work, life in Korea, and general information regarding culture, travel, food etc....

While I've had my fair share of "korea bashing" I realize that this too is wrong. We all have our bad days in the land of morning calm. But we should all strive to think of our glass as half full instead of half empty. So i think we should all honestly try to cut back on the negative perception that Korea gets from foreigners here.

I understand that Korea is a tough place for alot of folks, me included. I've had many ups and downs and have cursed this land as much as anyone else. But in the end, I'm glad I'm here and now look to the positive aspect of this place.

What ya'll think?

If a negative comment gets you banned, we would nearly all be out I guess.

I think getting rid of avatars is enough. The worst idiots will move on without pictures to help them follow what others are saying.

The best sites I post on have no avatars.......

I see no reason for them here. People's posts should say more than a stupid picture.

I'm not saying banning people for saying negative things about korea is the answer. I'm just suggesting fine tuning the comments on the boards.

Nothing the MODS can do about that. It would have to be voluntary. This was just a thought. Take it for what it's worth.

It's a photo of then General Juan Domingo Peron. He was President/Dictator of Argentina in the 1940's. I have a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies and I studied one year in Argentina. During this time I investigated what is known as Peronismo or Peronism. This is what truely fascinates me about this part of Latin America. The photo is just an expression of my interests like anyone else.

Yeah, and also he's doing something weird to my computer. Maybe sending viruses or something, because now after opening a thread he wrote (before I knew who he was or what he was doing) my computer is running slow and all jumbled-up.

Well that sucks, Molly. Sad Are you running a firewall?

Look people, it appears this guy is disgruntled because he isn't a Teacher. It's class envy and something a pro needs to rise above. I trust you all can because I know what kind of hoops you had to jump thru to get where you are. Not everyone can do that, and it creates an annomosity that can bring out the worst in certain individuals.

I won't speculate any further.
