Listen to the sound of the host at 1:35, then it shows the little girl doing something you wouldn't think a little girl should be doing.

I think you mean 엉덩이, not 안동이. I thought for a second this was about people from Andong. |

I know it means bum. I showed the video to my students and they were laughing. They said it meant hip. I think they were too embarassed to say bum. I showed it to my coteacher and she was a bit embarrassed. |

It's Konglish. "Hip" in Konglish means "buttocks" in English. |

"hip" is the Kongish word for "bum". They won't know bum (or any of its synonyms) unless you teach them. I had my Konglish lesson today with my uni scholarship students, and none of them knew any word other than "hip". They were surprised to learn it was Konglish. And further surprised to learn it was Japlish, too. |

I saw that on tv a few days back. I just turned the channel. They have small kids like that all the time on that show dancing around. I think it is stupid. They have the original wondergirl video with english subtitles. Kind of interesting. |

Didn't watch more than 10 seconds of it. Can't stand the "oh look at the cute kid" crap. |

THat's nothing. I live in the Philippines. When we are there, we have 6 girls working and living there full time. Nannies, gardener, cleaners, cook. Our sons primary nanny has 18 brothers and sisters. On any given day, there are half a dozen kids running around my house. Pinoy kids LOVE to sing and dance. This isn't at my house, but I had to put up with this every day. I spent a lot of tiem hiding in my office. Even my 3 year old still does this dance here in Korea. The first 25 seconds are sufficient.
