For those of you who have stayed at the same public school for two or more years.....when do you typically receive your severance pay?
Did you have to ask for it or did they just put it in your account at the end of your old contract?
Was tax deducted from it or was it the full monthly salary amount?
My current contract is up in the middle of September and I am staying and am wondering when to expect the severance money.....
Thanks for any help!! |

you know, with all due respect, did it ever occur to you to just ASK your school about your severance before coming on here?
I mean, c'mon - it's your money - your job - they owe it to you - do you know how bad it looks that you, well, can't even enny up enough courage to ask about this all-to-important aspect of your life, namely, your JOB???

i had to ask my school about it, and even then they still hummed and hawed about when i would get it. anyways, i finally got it and there was some tax deducted from it. IMO i'd ask about it a month before your contract finishes
hope that helps |
