...don't want to tell anyone about because the place would be ruined? I've got one in the Hongdae area.
It's a semi-serious question because I found my old haunt "Music Bar" by the Family Mart in Hongdae near M2 was completely f'ing ruined. Not only was it a sausage fest this past saturday, but they weren't doing requests and the dance floor was packed. Ruined.
So...this new place I've found? Not telling anyone. Only me, my girlfriend, and my friend who's in from Chicago know it. And I kind of want it to stay that way. |

There was this bar out west of Seoul, close to Hongdae. A really cosy place run by a Canadian fella. It served Hoegaarden on tap and therefore instantly won my heart. Oh, sweet sweet tasty European beer!!! Take that, watery Cass! Bite me Hite!!!
I wish I could remember the station it was closest to! I think it was either next to another bar called, or actually called itself, 'Beer o'clock'. Which is also an awesome name . |

A nice quiet cafe in Myeongdong, now always packed with noisy smokers. Ruined. |

My Korean friend took me to this little bar in Hongdae, in the basement of a non-descript building with no signs down a little back street. There are maybe 3 or 4 tables. The owner is a hippie type with dreadlocks. The walls are free to write on. It seems to be frequented by art and design students. Quiet, mellow, and plays old school reggae. |

I know of a few hidden places in my neighborhood. The locals seem to know about them and the locals are cool in my dong. |

If it's across from Castle Praha, then yes. The place is still great on weekdays, but it's ruined on weekends now.

Yeah, I was there last week. I expect it to explode in like 6 months. Maybe moreso in the winter than the summer cause there's a lot of wine-bars. Go now while it's cozy. |

Have you been to Europe? It's sound like you're conflating Britain's shit weather, Scandinavia's social welfare system (but you get what you pay for, seems to be working), and the outdated stereotype of bad English teeth. Although, yes, Americans and Canadaians probably care a lot more about their teeth than other places. But then again other places care more about what they eat...so yeah. |
