I saw a husband and wife on a Citi Ace Cub, with their infant baby sitting in the milk crate bungee corded to the back.

Why do people make a point of this is because of the double standard.

Replace and rearrange the headline to read "Drunk Canadian kills Korean family of 5." The next day and following weeks we would hear that

1. Canadians are all drunks (little true).
2. The Canadian was molesting a little boy at the same time.
3. The Canuck was teaching illegally.
4. CanMan was driving without a license.
5. The drunk was aiming for the family. He deliberately killed the family. He hated the family. He wanted them to die. He hates Koreans. Oh my God. He hates us all.
6. George Bush Jr. was in the Passenger seat.

Their would be some small protests against wayguks and driving. Probably at the Canadian embassy. Some Canadian bacon will then be pulled apart and burned in protest (waste of good back bacon).

There would be at least 2 Korean news programs
one about drunken behavior of wayguks in Korea. With bad video recorded at a Itaewon hotspot with all faces blurred out. Second would be about "WHEN FOREIGNERS DRIVE, PEOPLE DIE."

Then a new law would come in to effect that all foreign drivers must get a new license every two months. They would consider (but in the end not) have a foreign owned car outfitted with breathilizer units.

Students would start asking you if you drive drunk. Telling you that Canada is bad. Then repeating ad nasuem the following mistruths from above. Refuse to listen to logic.

Then after two weeks disappear in to no big deal.

Just the typical Korean "Much Ado" about nothing

most SE asian countries do settle cases with compensation. its sad but a true fact. ive read about grown men let free because they paid 2k USD to the family of the kid they molested/raped Sad

If that's true, then SE Asian lives are worth more than Irish, considering what Matthew Broderick paid when he drove under the influence:

"On 5 August 1987, while vacationing in Northern Ireland with Jennifer Grey, Broderick caused a fatal collision that killed 63-year-old Margaret Doherty and her 30-year-old daughter, Anna Gallagher.

Broderick was driving a rented BMW in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, when he swerved into oncoming-traffic lane. Anna Gallagher, who was driving the other car, and her mother, were killed instantly. Broderick suffered a broken leg, concussion and collapsed lung. Jennifer Grey escaped with minor injuries.

Broderick was initially charged with reckless driving but later plead guilty to a lesser charge of careless driving and was fined the equivalent of US$175."
