So long as it comes from commercially raised animals in proper conditions, I have no problems with it.
If its fur harvested and trafficked from (often) rare/endangered animals in the wild, then the retailer concerned should be skinned alive. |

As long as the meat and other bits are eaten and/or don't go to waste, what's the problem with fur or leather?
People who eat beef often protest against leather... how stupid is that! |

I'm waiting for some of the environmentalist types to spray red paint on one of those big burly Hells Angel's leather jackets and then the big dude proceeds to kick the living snot out of them (not to mention shoving the can of paint down their throat). |

Here is what makes me laugh my ass off:
Person 1 buys an expensive fur coat. In the west it is covered by their insurance.
Person 2 is a dumbass environmentalist. He/she throws red paint on person 1's fur coat.
Person 1 goes to their insurance, gets money and buys ANOTHER fur coat.
So that dumbass environmentalist just killed twice as many animals as he/she was trying to protect.
Anyone else laugh at how stupid people are? |

Real fur has come back in Europe as well. Naomi Campbell (one of the original 'fake fur' bandwagoneers) has been modelling it. It's not only Korea that is vain. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't shops in the West still sell real fur coats?
I don't see why it's any surprise that they're available in Korea, too. Not that I see many people wearing them here. |

The real howler about the types known to spray fur coats is that the synthetic fur coats look so realistic these days they've been sprayed too
It's a 100 x more pollutive to produce a fake fur coat than a real one which will also quickly biodegrade when tossed, a fake one will not. |

What gets me is the ones who spray the coats to make a point about saving the animals are making sure their Doc Martens, Timberlands, etc don't get any paint on them. |

I'm with rapier here on all points.
Problem is that the radical animal liberationists couldn't care either way, and will still try to get paint on them.. :)
I guess fur is fur.
