| I'm looking for some kind of regular activity in Mokdong Seoul as I feel I spend too much time with my playstation. Is there any golf/driving range? Badminton, scuba diving, swimming, wall climbing, what is here? How do I find out this stuff? Koreans that live here don't even know! |

Mokdong is a nice part of Seoul to live in. Cleaner than some other parts of the city, very family-oriented, lotsa hagwons. It's not very exciting...but it's close to Hongdae (if that's your scene). It's also not very central, but then again, public transportation can easily get you to where you need to go.
As for things to do, depending on what part of Mokdong you live in, you can access the Han River pretty easily - go rollerblading and biking. |

It used to be home to the hospital I was born in. And still holds the childhood home (well, apt.)..
Other than that..
I've only been to the Dept store (I think Hyundai?) in the recent years where I went to the CGV and bookstore, but that's only exciting for geeks like me..
Occasional entertainment is watching Korean stars in their huge, black or white vans, pull into the SBS building..
Oh, there are a lot of parks there.
파리공원, 양천공원, 오목공원, 근린공원..
Paris Park, Yangchun Park, Ohmok Park, GeunRin Park..
And the Ice Rink.. Can't forget that..
Wow I remember a surprising number of things after 12+ years.. well proud..
Meh. Perhaps Hongdae might be best.. |

| The Woori Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization play in Mokdong, near Omeokyo Station. Tickets are 6,000 along the baselines, or as 3,000 for the outfield. Beer is 3,000. Its a good day out.. |

Yeah, but baseball is the most boring sport in the history of mankind. I'd rather have my tongue beaten wafer thin with a steak tenderiser, and then stapled to the ground with a croquet hoop than watch that pantomime. |

I live in Mokdong and would love to go to a Woori Heroes game...
I haven't really found much to do here. Mostly just drinking I guess.
There is an expat bar called Beer O'Clock by Omokgyo station and they have trivia night and stuff like that.
I want to go hiking... does anyone know the closest hiking on this side of Seoul? |
