A co-worker of mine is trying to figure out what part of the speech "won't" is. I have no F'n clue.
Does it imply future intention? Is it present continuous? |

Will is usually called an auxiliary verb - a modal one. Not is sometimes called a negator. Won't is a contraction of the two.
It may but needn't imply future (non) intention. It isn't continuous. |

It could be a contraction Simple Future 'Interrogative Negative' form
and a Simple Future tense in the negative form.
