I bought an online ticket to China, not through a local travel agent. In addition, I am nowhere near a Chinese Embassy.
Is it possible to go to ANY travel agent, and bringing my online documents, etc., have a local travel agent process a tourist visa for me? |

Did you find it difficult getting a visa? Did you have to submit an itinerary including hotel details? |

I haven't tried yet. Since I'm up here in Northern Honshu, I don't have any time to make it to Tokyo on a weekday until mid-July.
So I am HOPING it will be an easy process. I bought the airline ticket and booked a hotel online - it seems BOTH of those are essential for the visa at this time.
I'll be in Tokyo around July 17th...and hoping the process isn't too difficult! |

Been to China twice, through here in Korea.
All they needed was the one page application for your details and a half page for the hotel info. Oh, photo too.
As for the travel agents they should be able to do it for you, but you likely will have to pay a fee for the courier/them. The one time here in Korea, cost 20,000 won. |
