OK, not enough room for the last e.

My liaison co-teacher at my main school said this morning that she was told I didn't go to the other schools this week, but in fact, I was everywhere at the times requested and had no issues. Everything went smooth as silk other than finding housing in my 1st 2 weeks so far until I hear this today.

I then told her I did in fact go and then asked, "who lied to you?" She then said to not worry about it, dropped the issue, and all seemed well.

What's the deal? Anyone else have any issues like this? I believe I do in fact have someone at one of my 3 other schools lying about me, but am puzzled as I did all the right stuff and wouldn't have a clue who it is.

How should I proceed and deal with this one? Any advice and facts from similar experiences are welcome.

Why does it seem like you've been at your school for just a few weeks, and you've already complained about a ton of things? I know you made a switch to the public school system, but I really hope you don't become another fromtheuk and post your diary on here

You have your head in your ass like an anti-intellectual conservative who can't think of anything better to write. Not all college graduates are smart nor wise.

There is nothing wrong with asking for advice about real situations/problems like I did. I got on the internet since I have no one as the few I know left yesterday to travel for Summer vacation, but I will ask this other FT when he returns who had been going to the same schools I'm now going to on his input about them.

What would you think if I called your school and said lies about you? You'd be a bit worried and pissed at the same time and be seeking a way to remedy the problem. You god dam right I complained about a ton of stuff, because so much was wrong with my situation, not just me complaining about feeling bad or having culture shock. I'm not a passive pushover. In fact, I don't see any culture shock after having been in Korea before as it's all familiar, but a different situation and place.

You gotta admit xcustom is right. Why do you have so many problems when you first started? Some are understandable..but I just don't get this one. Why one some korean teacher randomly lie about you? When I first came, I was treated like a celeb. No one dared to offend me or make me unhappy/angry/whatever.

Now that I have decided not to renew & stuff off course things are different. But that's expected.

Does trouble like to follow you? Rolling Eyes

I stopped reading beyond what you wrote above. In the last week you've bitched about your housing, you've bitched about people making noise and now this. Be selective in what you post on here. All I'm saying is don't spam the board with what seems to be daily updates

Why can't he? He is free to do so and not in violation of the AoP.

If he wants to be the next fromtheuk, by all means, post away.

Do you have any proof that you were there? You may need it if this becomes an issue. Log books, attendance sheets, homework...anything which might prove that you were there on the date in question.

If so, I certainly wouldn't let it go...they have a habit of bringing things up months later you may have thought were resolved but in fact were just swept under the carpet until they need an excuse to dock your pay or whatever. I'd get to the bottom of this and kick up such a fuss that whoever did this would think twice about doing something like that again.

I don't get the people who are bashing you...this is a legitimate issue and should be treated as such.

Anyway just my 2$ (inflation is a killer these days Laughing )

Yep, that's it. I do know this fact about teaching in Korea. That was my gut instinct and it was not necessary for me to write this thread. I was just checking and I believe this sums it up on what I need to do come Monday as we were let off at noon today so everyone, but me could go to Seoul. I was not invited since the trip was planned and booked before they knew about me.
