Is there a new Korean mod? Who is this guy -- looks like a gov't official.

I'm starting to get this creepy feeling like we're being watched by the Korean gov't a little too closely now. Is Dave's now in cahoots with the Korean gov't? Should we be in fear of reprisals for speaking our minds about schools? |

Wow, now there's a gazillion mods. How, exactly, does one become a mod anyway? Are you invited or do you apply? |

Actually, the garbage police were out yesterday in my neighborhood. They come through in their little uniforms and sift through garbage that is not in the appropriate bag looking for a letter or something that identifies the person who is not using the appropriate garbage bag. Strange.
It was fun to watch them sift through 10 lbs of my dog's poop that we had thrown away in a dog food bag.

Prosecutors Put Travel Ban on 20 Internet Users

...."After monitoring, we have imposed a travel ban mostly on Internet users and Internet community managers who posted malicious messages frequently," said Prosecutor Kim Soo-nam. "It is likely that the number of people under the travel ban will increase."....
Prosecutors will call in some of those under the travel ban to find out whether they stole other people's ID and repeatedly posted threatening messages on the Internet.
So far, prosecutors have analyzed 10,000 Web postings and traced the IP of Internet users who posted the messages to uncover their real identities. |

Watch out! Bassexpander is on the case! After warning us about the middle school prostitution ring, he's sniffed out a Korean government plot to infiltrate dave's! Where will his powers of deduction lead him next? |

You have to be a member of the Seoul Vegetarian Club, and it helps to attend the Ladies Luncheons. |

malicious messages, hardly the ranting and raving of lonely english teachers with nothing better to do with their time than complan about ajummas blocking them in the street and the heat of summer. |

It would be kind of nice if the mods would at least introduce themselves. |

I got a business card for a night club last week with Baekdusan on it. If it weren't for the warning, I would have actually thought the night club was a travel agency for hiking tours. |

OK, I'm happy to report that the Greek guy can really speak Greek...although I DO think it's Daskalos (regular poster on this site for years and a nice guy) - if it is Daskalos, then we're doing OK, because that guy is pretty cool. |
