I think Korean sounds too authoritative when discussing technical information (like when building something) or when selling something. It reminds me of the barking on North Korean and South Korean "news".

And vice-versa. To Busanites, Seoul Korean often sounds too polite and that there's too much effort into pronouncing it perfectly. In other words, fake.

When traveling on the Saemaul train (you Seoulites won't know about that train cause you never leave Seoul right?  ) between cities, they make announcements in Korean, English, Japanese and Mandarin.
IMO, Japanese sounds the best,. It sounds really cute but it could just be that chick's voice.
Mandarin sounds awful; it's overly tonal, bounces all over the place.
Korean falls in the middle somewhere... it's just sounds Korean?
On a side note, one's perception of how a language 'sounds' depends on whether one understands it or not... |

It is annoying.
If I have to hear Aniyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa one more time, I will explode!! I guess I will explode later today 5 times.

If you are not at the stage of speaking banmal to someone, every freaking sentence ends the say way..with yo
Boring.
I need to expand my vocabulary some more so that it is interesting once again. |

I can't be objective on the Korean thing so I won't even bother commenting.. :)
It's so situational and contextual, it's pretty hard to say what's better.
Nothing sounds as satisfying as mouthing off in the most vulgar Cantonese, and the ability to link insult after insult is one of the highlights.
Mandarin sounds better in day to day conversation in my opinion, especially when softly spoken. The same with Japanese.
Out of the European languages, I can admire them all, since it's something out of my league. Love the sound of French and German. Spanish is.. OK, just not as appealing as the first two.

| nobody has mentioned Mogolian so far. It is really deep and earthy sounding, with a lot of guttural sounds. I don't find it horrible or cool, it is only the way it sounds, and I take that thought to all the other languages as well. (Must. Stop. Being. P. C.) |

The whininess that tends to go with Korean is extremely annoying- but I don't think that's key to the language. I didn't notice it nearly as much when I lived in Cheong ju compared with Seoul. A friend explained that it's just something they consider cute. 
In terms of annoying though, I think the nasal R sounds of a "standard" Mandarin dialect to be quite grating. |

I find English spoken by people who constantly whine about a country that they no longer live in a real pain, don't you? Just don't watch Korean dramas if the language annoys you that much. Perhaps you need professional help to just get over your Korea grudge. |

I hate the fact that they make the announcements in 4 different languages. It really pisses me off when I am trying to sleep. I want to conduct a survey which counts all the Chinese and Japanese people who use the train between Gwangju and Seoul. I imagine the figure would be very low.
I think Korean sounds awful when spoken by some whiny Korean bitch. OooooooooooooooBaaaaaaaaaa! I really wish I could beat the cows! Having said that, Korean is great when arguing with someone. Shhhhhhhhhhhibal! Michinsecki!!!! I don't think English can rival the harsh sounds of those words. |

I find the intonation annoying, predictable, and boring. Maybe its because the same intonation in English generally implies the negative, I don't know.
English appears to have a greater variety of tone, expression, and sounds. korean sounds like a clockwork toy winding down half the time.
Time to go to a new country, I know....before anyone says it.  |

Korea is the country most Japanese people go to when on vacation. Can't find the exact numbers, though there are quite a few.
As for me, my favourite is when a cute girl opens her mouth and starts to speak, and she's from Pusan, not Seoul. I don't know why. In Japan I like the Hakata dialect in Kyushu (no surprise considering I used to live there). As for languages themselves,
Japanese and Korean sound the best,
English sounds guttural when you think about it, quite like German. If you have the discipline to listen to it without comprehension it actually sounds quite strange. I don't like the sound of German much, though I do want to learn it.
I also like the sound of Finnish and Estonian, they sound almost depressing but there's something to it them I still like. |
