Hey guys, been reading this blog for a few months now and have gotten a lot of useful info. as well as a ton of laughs here. So thanks for both. I'll be coming over in Aug. to work for SMOE... But that's not at all important.

I wanted to know if anyone had info. on getting in with an Eng. lang. publication in Seoul, be it internships or actual journalism. I've noticed that a bunch of people frequently site Eng. pubs in their threads and thought it'd be a fun thing to do: writing, not citing. I've got feeble fantasies of expat living, "Lost Generation" style, replacing all hope in humanity with cynicism, art and soju. That sort of thing. And judging by a majority of these posts, I'd say I've picked the right country to do it in. Mostly I just want keep up the writing while away from home, though. Be near it, at least. Any info on pubs. - small, medium or large - would be greatly appreciated. So would money and marriage proposals; the latter only if it'd work toward and F visa. Sorry Westerners. Anyway, thanks for everything, or nothing.

If you are coming in on an E2, be advised that that would be illegal.

Secondly, this forum doesn't tend to sell the goose with the golden egg, you'll have to do the networking yourself.

Nevertheless, I wish you the best.

Thanks Juregen,

Yeah, I figured that my visa status would pose a problem, but I'm not necessarily looking for a second income. Still, like you said, it's probably going to be something I'll have to look into on my own once I get there. Thanks for the well-wishes.
