|
|
I came to Korea with long sleeved shirts and am regretting it! They are cotton though so it isn't too bad as regards looking like I have been swimming fully clothed while in class however my head teacher has said that there are loads of short sleeved shirts available downtown Seoul.
I told her I doubt Korean sizes would fit me - I brought summer/winter gear with my paltry 20kgs on the flight over but she insists that there are places downtown where I can buy big feller shirts - I have big shoulders and am tall - I wouldn't say I was fat though.
She says they aren't that expensive either - is she right or is she talking out of her arse? Where can I get these massive (but cheap) shirts from? |

Songtan, further south, has many shops selling clothing lines to fit the fuller-figured gentleman, as well. |

The big size shops in Itaewon are either lame quality or c.1983 style. Best to go with Eddie Bauer or some other online retailer that ships to Korea. |

I buy all my short sleeve big size shirts in Itaewon at a small shop next to the North Face outlet. I pay around w8,000 per shirt and up to now all the shirts have been of good quality. The guy has from XL to XXXL shirts.
When you stand in front of the North Face shop in Itaewon facing the shop you turn right and wak about 20 yards down the main street. Usually there are some ugly artwork for sale on the left just before you reach the shop. The shop has this funny triangular shape to it and it is stacked with shirts right up to the cieling.
Like I said all the shirts I have bought there are of good quality. I am still wearing shirts that I bought there 2 years ago. |

If you're talking about the once near the Mcdonalds, it's a good shop. I bought 4 there last week. I'm 5'9" and 220, so their XXL fits me quite nicely. |

yeah, Im 6'4" and need a few things, so to Itaewon I go. some stuff is passable, some a bit off. I brought too many shirts with me though, so I am going to see if I can haggle a few shirts from Kohls of all places with an owner. new with tags, so I hope to get at least a pair of jeans and a few skivvies out of the deal. maybe some khakis. |
