Are there slams out there now, or are there people wanting to start?

i don't know if there are any english poetry nights in seoul, let alone slams. i wouldn't mind participating in a poetry open mic night, tho i'm more a reader than a slammer.

I'm in if you get a slam going. Never done it before, but it looks like a blast.

Poetry slams are for people in prison that have nothing to do all day.

If your going to start a club or something start a club for kickball, croquet or win, lose, or draw or something fun , not a poetry slam.

Mr. Marley - go smoke some more gonja and have your little poet party and talk about Rastafar and dread each others hair, Super lame!

i totally back this argument.

even if you enjoy poetry slams, you should really play kickball, croquet or something that you don't enjoy, because they're fun.

and - i must reiterate nolegirl's flawless assessment that all people involved with poetry smoke GONJA, have dreadlocks and are way less lame than nolegirl.

nolegirl - one of this board's great thinkers. when is her book coming out again? i'm waiting with baited breath.

nolegirl admirers, form an orderly line. but let it be known that i'm planning to take her out for a so totally UN-lame Saturday of playing kickball, followed by win and lose or something fun. but really, any date with the nole is purely win-win, right?

as long as you bring a keg and some trendy college music...nole is in the bag (be sure to video tape it)...

...but seriously, back to the real topic...if you're interested in having one once a month or whatever, let me know...a bar in bucheon is thinking of holding them if there is interest.
