Hello everyone,

As someone who has been looking into getting teacher certification in my home country (USA) for a while now, I was wondering about international schools and making myself more marketable to them while also expanding my abilities. I know there's not much buzz about them on this board, and since I don't know much about Korea yet, I'm kind of at a loss. Let's just say, for instance, that I was getting my US teaching certification and I wanted to get an endorsement to teach not only English but one other subject area. What areas are in demand these days at international schools? Science? Math? Does anyone know which countries have the biggest need for international school teachers? Again, I apologize if my question is silly, but I just thought I'd try despite the risk of battery and insult that happens on this board.... Any insight would be appreciated. Smile

Science and Math, especially at the middle/high school levels are always in demand. As for finding a job, Most international schools do all their hiring by in Jan. and have finished by the end of Feb. Look at the schools website and check out what job fairs they are attending. Then go there and get a face to face interview.
