It seems like everyday I read a derogatory news piece regarding him. Were they that much in love with Hill?

How long does it take to elect an American president? 2 years. It's crap. What a boring, drawn out, waste of time. In that time any number of things can surface. The media get bored and change, they need to keep feeding the masses. I'll reiterate again, waste of time.

What happened after the long, drawn out, waste of time elections happened last time, Bush got elected! You would of thought if it carries on that long that the system might work.

(Before anyone jumps on me, the British system is just as sh*t, but a hell of a lot shorter)

Careful Domer, it's exactly that kind of innocent criticism that usually precedes an almighty volley of nationalistic name calling and flag waving.

Maybe because the "liberal" media isn't really liberal. It's "more liberal" than Faux News, but even CNN is to the right of the median.

Actually, I think Xingy is right, but I also think that this was inevitable. It's the same in most elections......politicians tend to veer toward the safe ground of the center the closer the election gets. That's what Obama seems to be doing and it's pissing off a lot of the ultra-liberals. I think that's where the negative press is coming from. McCain is, actually, pretty fortunate in this case as he has a lot less to lose if he moves towards the middle on some issues. Most of the ultra-consevatives already hate McCain anyway.

IMO, I think Obama is acting like an idiot, and deserving of the criticism. Also, it also seems to me, and this is just my opinion, but it seems he thinks the world owes him something because he's black. I'm not racist, but this is what it seems like.

Yeah sorta agree here. He's gotten away with some crap that nobody else would have been able to. They're finally leveling the playing field. Some of the crap that is said by him and his campaign, had Mccain said it woulda been "Oh look here goes the racist ass GOP again".

The feeling is he is backtracking on getting out of Iraq and other things...

Alsothat he wants to be the "same" as Mccain and turn it into a popularity contest. Hip dude vs. old fogey.

Maybe they don't like him because he's going to up their taxes when he becomes president; there are a lot of rich Democrats in that upper tax bracket.

"Why are the liberal media all of a sudden hammering Obama?"

Is the media liberal? The term "liberal media" sounds like a bill oreilly saying to me. Decent article from chomsky.info

From the first time I heard about him, I questionned how his name, in this time and age, would cause problems. I mean, after all, it is almost the same as another person who has been in the news for a long time now. And, not shown in the best of light.
