Looking for good Greek, Israeli, Turkish, and Mexican restaurants in Seoul. Can somebody clue me in on where they are?
I know about the little Turkish joint in Itaewon that's near the Indian buffet-style place. Is there anything "bigger" for us lovers of Turkish kabobs? There's also a Mexican restaurant near this Turkish hole-in-the-wall, but I'm looking for something bigger and a little fancier.
Going to Seoul soon and am dying to get a gyro or three, along with a falafel dinner. I'm bringing a Korean along who's in his mid-40s and has never even tried a taco. Should be a fun trip.
I'll offer up this info for anyone who reads this post: there's a great Italian restaurant in Jinju called Zio Ricco. Went there Saturday, and it was magnifique. They were fresh out of lasagne, but the spaghetti and pizza were great. There's also a great bar upstairs at this place.
Thanks for any info. |

For Mexican (more like tex-mex, but still awesome), hit up "On the Border" at Sinchon station, line #2 on the NW side of Seoul. Walk out exit #4 for about 2 minutes and it's on your left in the YBM building.
It's the biggest, nicest mexican restaurant in Korea. In terms of selection, service, and atmosphere, nothing comes even close. You won't be disappointed. Patron margaritas?? COME ON!!! |

12-25 for an entree, but you can easily split them with a friend. You also get unlimited free chips and salsa. Lunch specials are 9,900 won before 4pm. |

There seems to always be a smartass here piping in some unwanted, unnecessary BS. Let's try to form a union, bloke. Yeah, right. I bet we couldn't even agree on the definition of union before you'd want to take somebody's head off.
For the rest of you guys, thanks for the info. I'll check this Mexican place when I'm next in Seoul. |

That is unforgivable.
Thanks for the positive endorsement of On the Border, seoulsucker. I'm intrigued. (how's the bar?) |

Don't u hate how skimpy some restaurants r w/ alcohol. Like one shot of tequila in a Margaretta...hell I put at least 4 in my homemade ones. |
