I'm having some serious issues with the A/C fan coil unit that came standard with my officetel (they only run it from 1-6 PM, and nights are getting unbearable) and I'm considering buying a small wall unit to chill the place.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I don't know if the building exterior is equipped to handle a unit like that (I'm on the 15th floor) or if my unit owner/building manager will even allow me to do this. What are the rules of engagement here?

Chasing you around officetel threads but anyways,

Did you ever get this resolved? I would hope it'd be a simple case of saying you'll pay more to operate your own AC when you want to...
