Ok I bought a new hard drive and want to load windows xp onto the drive.
I have a copy of windows xp on cd. I do not have an A: drive. i've done this years ago but I'm a bit lost now. I know how to set the jumpers for master drive but I am a bit confused as to which IDE plug I use, The first or last EX- Hard drive line from mainboard to hard drive. I will only be using one hard drive. Thanks |

Do you have an existing installation of XP that you want to transfer onto this new drive?
If not, then it should be just a standard install, no? |
