I'll be arriving in Bundang next week and want to buy some cheap weights to use at home (nothing too big, but I don't want to haul them from the U.S.). Can anyone recommend a sports store or something like that? In Japan they had those kinds of things at 100 yen stores- what about Korea?

If you know of a place, please let me know how to get there. Thanks!

Regardless of where you will live in Bundang, you should expect to pay 70,000-120,000/month for a gym membership. The gym in my officetel was charging $1,100 for a 1 year membership (was because they're now out of business)

I pay $33 a month for my gym in Sunae. It's small but it has about everything you need.

For home stuff you should be able to find anything you need at an Emart.

Check to see if there's a gym in your school before you rush out and spend a load of cash.

Thanks for the tips so far. I will only be in Bundang for a month, and not joining a gym. I'll be about 15 minutes outside of the city, in Seongnam. But an Emart could be a good bet. As far as I know, the only facility the place I'm staying has is a racketball court.

I pay $40.00 a month for a membership at one of the We've buildings. (Yeah, yeah, there's probably dozens of We've buildings.) It's between Migum Station and Jeongja. The gym is huge and new.

I still don't understand. I paid $60.00 for a crappy little gym in Cheongju. The gym I go to now could easily charge $80.00

To the OP: Bundang and a few of the surrounding areas are expensive. I live in Yong-In and have a really small place. I know that dumbbells don't take up too much space. But if you want a bench press, uh, bench then that will obviously take up a bit of room.
