Very first post revisited:
"I just graduated from college and am a 26 year old white guy. I am waiting on my passport to come in so I can move to Busan, South Korea in early November. I am very excited about moving and have read this board for about three weeks now. The wait time to signup was forever.
Anywyas, to important matters. You guys make it sound like it's hard to get laid in Sout Korea. Is this true? What are the women like at the bars? I plan on going out a good bit and meeting lot's of Korean women. I have always been attracted to Oriental women in general. But I will confess. I like my women easy when I'm out drinking. Is this type of scene in Busan?"
Most recent update on the legend:
"Ok...after much debate and after looking for jobs in the struggling US economy, it has come down to working at a small-town newspaper for $20,000 a year while working my ass off and struggling for rent and gas money or coming back to Korea to find a better gig than my last one. Here is my situation...I pulled a midnight runner from my last school after figuring out that they were crooks for the most part and big time racists who were against me dating a Korean. Also, I am getting married to my Korean GF who has been working on a visa to come here to live with me. Yeah I know, a major change in plans.
Also, I have a DUI on file from three years ago. My questions are A: will I be able to come back and work in Korea right now? I turned in my ARC card to immigration before I left. B: will I pass the criminal background check and how long would it last? Any insight will be much appreciated."

Classic Kentucker right here - a post in reply to 'spliffs son' about him being a loser for marrying the first k girl he met:
So let me get this straight....if you meet the perfect woman in your first year, you are a tool if you decide to marry her? Come off your high horse already. I never wanted to get married until I met her. I was all about hooking up with as many girls as possible.
Well, with an F-2 I can legally teach correct?
I reallly really want to come back. My family is giving me a hard time, though. My parents are both already almost in their 60s...last time I was over there..my dog got run over...one of the major factors besides my bosses why I came back. My brother told me earlier today while we were swimming that he would never go so far away because of the possibillity of something happening to our parents. Damn, does anyone else have these feelings when deciding to come back?
In reply to me comisserating about the death of his dog and why he should try he luck at acting once he was in Korea
Yeah, I got her from the pound and had her for about four years. I was contemplating taking her over to Korea but figured the quaratine process would be too much...I'll never forget what my recruiter told me on the phone before leaving...he said in a year, you'll return and your dog will be just fine and happy to see you back.
I have seen the white actors on television in Korea. They suck big time. I could out act them any day and i'm decent looking. But are you saying I can't teach with a f2 visa?
I choked on my coffee mix both times! The man is a legend - don't let anyone say differen! |
