|
|
Just received my Criminal Record Checks from home. There are two - one from my local polis, Scotlands finest, the Lothian and Borders Police - and another from the National Police Computer.
Both are suprisingly full of writing so you have to scan through until you find the sentence that says no record has been found. I was expecting it in big red letters or something. Make it easy for Kimmi to read.
Anyways, I'm wondering...which should I get notarised at the British Embassy? The local check or the National check? The national one looks more official, with two blue stripes on it and stuff while the local one looks like something I could knock up in 5 minutes.
Has anyone got any experience of which they used and which was accepted by Kimmi? I could just get them both notarised to be sure, but if it's no needed then why bother?
Cheers! |

I got the National Police Check and the Local one (also Lothian and Borders) notarized at the FCO in London.
Had to persuade the guy at the front desk to allow me get the Local one notarized (just in case I needed it).
However, I just sent the Notarized National Police Check to Korean Immigration.
Remember, to make a copies of it before sending to Korea. Need to send a copy to the Korean Embassy in London to obtain your visa. |

I'm already in Korea so will be getting it notarised here...next week...
Just wondering if anyone knows which Kimmi wants. I'm guessing the national one... |

Check out the Facebook group which has lots of info for Brits/visa stuff.
I am pretty sure the local one is fine. |
