Does anyone know of anywhere to find a cat in Pusan? I've asked some of the other teachers, but since none of them have pets, I have no idea where to go! |

Good afternoon Marsalia!
In the name of being positive, I'll assume that you have given this great thought, and do not intend to leave yer kitty at the end of a year (or more, or less, no matter). Also that you've cleared it with your landlord.
So check out www.animalrescuekorea.org because that would be one of your best bets. There are plenty of cats in shelters or being fostered, and I'm sure if you're willing to take a wee trip one day, you can find a match. Most fosterers will travel too, in order to find great forever homes for the animal.
You could also come to the Happy Kitten shelter in Itaewon, also known as Nabiya. Here is their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=501604457#/group.php?gid=18503143577
You could check out www.pusanweb.com, they have classifieds, and I knew a girl a few years ago who got her cat from someone one there.
Good luck. |

Hi!
I know a couple that have a littler of kittens to give away to good homes.
If you're interested in one, or more, let me know and I'll sort you out with some contact details

Thanks! I got here a month ago, but I've been thinking about the pet question for a few months now. I've always had a pet, and couldn't bring my cat with me. I won't be taking the plunge until September, but have already looked into how to bring the pet home with me (no worries about me abandonning my pet at the end of my contract!) and have figured out arrangements to do that. I have already found a vet as well, so just in case anyone was doubting my sincerity, you don't need to. I love cats and the only reason I didn't bring my pet from home was because he is older and may not have adjusted well.
I'll look into the website, and keep tabs on who knows of free kittens.
Any suggestions on where to find pet food for a cat. I see dog food everywhere, but nothing for cats! |

Hello Marsalia,
The kittens (or some of them) are likely to still be around in September. They're cute little buggers too.
If you do end up getting a cat, I can point you in the right direction for food, litter, toys, etc. etc.
Cheers,

Marsalia -- just saw your thread as I was searching for a place to bring this gorgeous kitten I found this weekend to be adopted. This is the friendliest cat but there's no way I could keep it, my apartment's just too small and it seems cruel. If you are interested in having a cat now, you could come meet my kitten and see if you like it! I'll try to PM you (not sure if I can) or reply to this thread. |

If anyone is interested:
Our cat's vet in Busan has a Purebred Turkish Angora who is available for adoption. He seems like a really friendly cat, but he is deaf. He is about a year old and can be spayed and adopted for FREE. |
