I'm looking to buy an old 4th gen Ipod Photo. I'm talking 20 ~ 30 GB.
Before you post or PM me with offers, here's what I can buy online. If you can't beat this price (or won't), then don't bother.
20 GB - $135 (so 135,000 won)
30 GB - $160 (160,000 won)
I can meet anywhere in Seoul to do the transaction.

I have super-clean 40Gb iPod Photo (colour screen) version with a Kruesell leather case. How about 150,000 won? PM me if you are interested. We upgraded so this one's been sitting around doing nothing. It has the dock and I also have a (Griffin, I think) add-on iPod mic that I never used that I'll include.
Cheers,
~ smw

We plan on doing mods to the Ipods so it's imperative to know the model (video, photo, etc.) AND generation. Please include this information. |

I have one of the first 80gb ipods that can play video (6th gen?). I haven't been using it much since I switched to linux and was contemplating selling it as a result. I know it is not exactly what you are looking for but I was thinking of selling it for 180. PM me if you are interested. |

i'd be willing to sell my ipod photo. its a 20gb, purchased new in the summer of 2005 here in korea from the apple store in coex; if i'm not mistaken, it's 4th gen. it's got the expected wear and tear after 3 years of use, but works fine and still looks pretty good. i could let it go for 130,000 won. |

Neither of us are interested in 6th gen or newer. It's gotta be 5.5 or older. |

Have you ever heard of ipodlinux or rockbox? These are alternative firmwares that allow the user to do SO much more with their ipod than the apple firmware allows. For example, ipodlinux put video on a photo ipod. Before Apple came out with a video ipod. These OS's are pushing the limits of ipod functionality and that just gets us hot. Playing games, reading novels, installing cool little programs, all kinds of rockin' stuff. Record straight to your ipod using any old mic at a MUCH higher quality than the $80 add-on will give you, that kind of stuff.
If you're interested, just google or youtube ipodlinux or rockbox. They're kick-ass.

according to the guide you link to mine is a 5.5
I can tell by the serial number ending in 9VR
I know exactly what you are talking about with Rockbox and Ipodlinux. I thought about installing it to make it easier to use my ipod on linux.

I forgot to mention the reason I haven't installed either of these on my ipod is I can't get my ipod to mount on my 64-bit version of Ubuntu (apparently this is a common problem).
If your friend is interested in a 80gb 5.5 let me know. If you know anything about getting ipods to mount properly in linux then please also let me know. I have tried the Ubuntu forums without luck. |

Golem sold my friend a 5.5th generation Ipod, so we're no longer interested in the Ipod Video part of this post. I'm still open to offers on 4th gen ipod photos. |

I still have that super-clean 40Gb iPod Photo (colour screen) version with a Kruesell leather case. Battery life is excellent, iPod is in great condition. How about 150,000 won? PM me if you are interested.
