You failed to mention that in the origional post...

You could try to get some rough measurments from back home?? Or I was told by the misses that its one size depending on age and weight.. So you might have to judge it by eye... hope it helps

i failed to mention it because it wasnt an important factor

whether a child is here or not still doesnt help figuring out the different sizes between korean and north american clothes. basically looking for some size chart or something similar (if one exists)

Adults hanboks are NOT one size fits all.

Get someone back home to measure the kid. Height, chest measurement, and maybe weight should be fine.

Go to the nearest open-air market (cheaper) or dept store (expensive). See the kids hanboks hanging up. Chose the design you like. Ask for it in the size you need according to the child's age. They are sized by age.

So for a 12mo old, get the 12mo (dol) hanbok. For a three year old get the 3yr hanbok. Just make sure you tell the salesperson the age is "man uh-ro" [like we count age, not Korean age] if you say the age in years instead of months. So you'd say, "man uh-ro seh sal dwen eh"
