So I live in Gwangju, it's hotter than hell here, it's humid, all the normal summer stuff right?

I have a puppy. Every day when I leave for work puppy goes in his little fenced in area, I turn off the AC, give him water, and put 2 fans on him so he doesn't get too hot.

I kid you not, woman at the pet store said not to put the fans on the dog, because the dog could explode... I snorted quite loudly at this statement, turned around, and left the store...

The logic behind THIS? Who knows...

Dog meet fan.

Dog "explodes" into a spray of meat and blood.

It's crazy, but Korean logic makes me laugh.

The puppy incidentally stands right in front of the fan and lets his floppy puppy ears blow around....

Hahahaha. Oh man, at least fan death kind of makes sense in a warped "no knowledge of actual science way," but this is just plain weird.

two things my GF commented on.

Maybe first it is a miscommunication. Maybe she meant the dog will go crazy or the fan could over heat because of dog hair.

Second - do not let the terrorist hear about this.
Today in the news. ......
A Mr Mohammad of Itaewon was caught with 20 dogs and 10 large fan attached to a gas engine. He parked the vehicle next to a local bar that US military used in the off hours. His plans where foiled when the dogs individually exploded rather all at once as Mr. Mohammad was expecting. Now Mr. Mohammed was given a fine for protesting against Japan without a license and a stern talking to from a local Adjumma about wasting good dog meat.

Yea, except for she meant to never put the fan on the dog, because he could die due to exploding

I told my puppy this, he laughed too, then he shook his floppy ears at the fan and enjoyed the breeze.. haha

Is it any wonder these people had to be dragged into the 20th century at the point of a gun?

Fan death. Don't let you or your dog be in a room with all the windows closed while your fan is on.

This is so funny. She was warning you as some Koreans believe in fan death. LMAO!

I just got home from the store, after leaving him alone with the fan

Alas, HE IS STILL ALIVE?!

Does that mean the fan is broken?
