Who is taking these jobs? As an F2 visa holder I would rather spend my vacation time at Camp Guantanamo Bay being water boarded on a daily basis.

1.
H Camp
Hours  (9am  7pm) -> 10 hours a day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks = 200 hours.
In addition there are 2 days orientation and 1 day cleaning up. So for arguments sake let us say an extra 5 hours for each day = 15 hours + 200 scheduled = 215 hours.
Pay 2.8 million / 215 = 13,000 an hour.

2. D Camp
Hours  (9am -4pm) -> 7 hours a day x 5 days a week x 3 weeks = 105 hours.
In addition there is one day of orientation. Let us say 5 hours. 105 + 5 = 110 hours.
Pay 2.2 million / 110 = 18,000 an hour

3. S Camp 19 days straight  no accommodations - a daily commute
Hours 7.5 hours a day x 19 days = 142.5 hours + 2 evening activities at 1.5 Hours each = 3 more hours (not sure if that is per week, but at 145.5 hours, I dont need to add on more).
Pay 3 million / 145.5 = 20,600 won an hour (dont forget to add your travel time to this equation)

4. Si Camp 6 hours a day x 5 days x 5 weeks = 150 hours
3 million / 150 hours = 20,000 an hour

5. E Camp  9am  6.15 pm 9.25 hours a day x 5 days a week x 3 weeks = 138.75 hours + 3 Saturdays at 9 hour each (27 hours) and 2 Sundays at 7 hours each (14) = 179.75 hours
Pay 2.5 million / 179.75 = 14,000 won an hour

I give up, read on for your-self.

As long as people take the jobs, they'll keep posting the jobs.

Recruiters maybe paying teachers the listed rates, but believe you me they keep a nice chunk for themselves!

I just delete the camp spams in my inbox.

Its like this:

F visa holder has a full time job at public school/private school or university. They get a month or two off, but can't really line up other work during the day for those holidays.

So they take a camp job. The ones that pay 3mil for 6hrs a day aren't really that bad.

I did what was probably the best camp ever last winter. 6 days, 3hrs teaching a day, 3hrs playing with the kids a day. 1mil a week. If I wasn't leaving tomorrow I'd do that same company camp again this summer. It was easy money and the activities were pretty fun.

Most people who take camp jobs aren't F visa holders just so you know. Last summer I did a camp and I was the only F-2 visa holder there. Same with the winter camp I did this year. Most of the workers were C-4 workers. People who have almost no experience and want to come and check out Korea for a month or two and make some money while doing it.

There are also E-2 holders...some of which are legal and some illegal.

My suggestion is also negotiate. I never take what they first offer me.

I worked one last summer. 2.5 for 3 weeks. A 5 hour day or so. Minimal preparation, and good support.

I won't settle for any less again.
