Looking forward to watching this movie. Just wondering if we will get the chance over here or will it be dubbed into Korean? Imax would be great for this movie.

There's a 99% chance it'll be subbed. Usually only kids movies are dubbed before coming here.

For the most part, English films are shown in the original English, while subtitled in Korean.
Dark Knight comes out in Korea on August 7th, and according to what I've seen at Youngsan, it'll be playing on the Imax screen there.

As an aside some was filmed in Imax so that should be cool...

I'm not playing NYAH NYAH I saw it first here---but it's brilliant. A rare rare movie that , on getting home , I want to bo back and see it again...

No just Ledger but it should sweep the freaking Oscars.

(I think they stole a bit of something....but in the name of spoiler alerts I'll wait for a thread on the film itself.

Well, "Dark Knight" was the first theatrical film to be filmed entirely for Imax, which is one of the reasons I want to see it.
It's boggling to me that Warner Bros would wait two weeks to release it here. Surely they know that pirating of this flick is going to be huge, and by holding it off for two weeks, they've essentially ensured it's going to be pirated.

Being THAT guy who criticizes a movie based purely on the fact that everyone else likes it - thus trying to paint yourself as some sort of cinema connoisseur who's above the tastes of the unwashed masses - is the opposite of humble. It's more a cry of "look at me, look at me, I'm better than you."

I heard that you have to see it in Imax. Also that the run time was long and it would have been one of the greatest of all time if it finished at 1.45. Still its supposed to be an excellent movie and I can't wait to see it...but only in imax.

It's true on any internet board where movies are discussed. Try to say ANYTHING positive and get flamed for it.

Me: "Casablanca" was a great movie.
flamingmoron: Well, it was okay, but it had flaws.
Me: Angelina Jolie is sexy.
flamingmoron: No, she has flaws.
Me: Russell Crowe is a great actor.
flamingmoron:No, he has his flaws.
Me: Do you like any movies?
flamingmoron: No. I hate everything.
Me: The sky is blue.
flamingmoron: Not at night. Not when it's cloudy or when it rains.

Does anyone know how to book IMAX tickets online?

The beginning scene along with some other shots were actually filmed for IMAX, something they're marketing as being..."cutting edge". I'm sure they'll have it for IMAX. Rolling Eyes

a lot of special FX - but (sorry Keith) Ledger cannot hold a candle to Jack Nicholson's Joker - no way - the trailer doesn't even seem all that enticing -

will pass on this one - too bad too - Batman is my fave Sad
