hi, i tried searching for that thread that had a list with all the best places to eat in Seoul. (after hitting the search button, a blank white screen appears). If anyone could direct me to that thread, it sure would be appreciated. (I wanted to check out some of the ratings for Italian, French and Thai places). As I saw a little Thai place, right across from Kon Kook Univ. Cheers! |

Don't eat Thai food in Korea it's way over priced and the portions are tiny. They screw it up all the time. I actually has sweet and sour pork made with Sam gyup sal. Pad Thai is dead easy to make at home. All you need is the sauce that can be picked up at any Halal(Muslim) shop
Try the Indian Restaurants in Iteawon. |

I've been trying a lot of places lately and am generally disappointed. The only good meals I've really liked were at a Pakistani place kind of across from the Foreign Restaurant, which I assume is going up hooker hill in Itaewon. It has yellow lights around it and it's next to a *beep* house (but up there, what isn't). They had Biryani cheap and I love the stuff if made Pakistani style with some yogurt sauce to sprinkle on it.
I love Indian food, but it just isn't the same as you can get in the states. Even sprung for the buffet at Moghul thinking it would be better. Better, yes, but I'll not go back.
My best meal yet was on a sunset riverboat cruise with a buffet. But the cruise is 50,000.
If you want good Korean food, eat most anywhere in Cholla province. The Korean food in Seoul is only good if you are hungry. |

Any good authentic French restaurants in Seoul? I lived in Bordeaux for two years. God, the food was tremendous. |

good writing does not supplant poor food - and if you read the article, he states this was last winter when he was in Seoul - which begs the question why wasn't this published sooner? perhaps because no one was interested in Korean food - and it's only been published now as a filler piece - |

Could you be more specific on what you wanna eat?? I'd like to eventually put together a list of good places with direction (pictured maps) of places I enjoy eating at. Korean and western food.
I also wanna put together some webpages that'll help answer frequently asked questions on here, because some of the threads are hard to find/scattered or the threads are severely outdated. |
