By having a forum only for discussing teaching ideas, it would make one nice searchable resource anyone can use. It can be used for lesson plan ideas, methodologies, and any other ideas and discussions related to actual teaching. We have the job related forum, but it's more about visas and other non-teaching related issues.

Should we ask Dave to add the new teaching forum as a professional resource that can be built upon and easily searched? I think this would cap the site off as being complete.

Oh yes, but it's separate and my username and password doesn't work on that part of the site. It looks great, but is seriously flawed in that it's separated from the Korea forums where everyone goes, username doesn't work, and has little activity. Since my username doesn't work, I'm betting it doesn't work for most other users. That would explain why threads related to teaching end up in the job related on the Korea forum and then get lost. I did noticed the search function improved so that helps to dig up anything in the site.

Ok, since there is a teacher discussion forum, why not merge it where it's a part of the Korea forums?

Because not everybody teaches in Korea. It isn't just a site for Korean teachers. Though if they made a new forum here, I can't see or imagine any complaints.

I'm not sure it's Dave's issue. Ask Canuckistan. Not sure, actually.

Maybe it is updated, they just haven't changed the copyright date...if NOT, they really should because it's quite easy to hack phpBB boards if you don't stay on top of the security updates. Seen quite a few boards wiped out from that.
