Half of Thailand's most beautiful women are men. Hahahaha.

I agree that Thai food is much better than Pinoy food. But the ladies are just generally unpleasant. There are a few attractive Thai women, but the accent and level of English and overall disposition is downright distasteful. Plus, there is the old adage, "Once a Thai always a Thai". Thais love Thailand and don't want to leave, so if you do meet someone special there is not much future in it.

On the other hand, Filipinas are some of the world's most beautiful women. Many have spanish ancestry in some form or another. English is never a concern and their disposition is always pleasant. They are passionate like the Spanish and they place a high value on romantic love.

Now as for Camiguin. I have not been there. I was scheduled to go last time there but my plans got changed at the last minute. It was my understanding though that Camiguin has no real beaches to speak of. It is mostly rocky coast.

Siquijor has many of the same things though. You can go hiking and see the falls and I believe there are hot and cold springs there also, but I did not visit them myself. And you can go and see the witches!

It is important to note too that from Bohol you can take a ferry to Dumaguete and then to Siquijor. 3 hours to Dumaguete (about 700pesos) and then 1 hour to Siquijor. Camiguin cannot be reached by Bohol. A overnight ferry goes from Dumaguete to Cagayan de Oro but it is a nightmare. Unless you are planning on touring Mindinao or are only on vacation for a short time, I would avoid Camiguin. Mindanao is nice but it is also much more native than anywhere else in the Philippines.

Thanks to all who posted... This is really great information...

I'd love to hear about more places in these two countries to check out... maybe with some info on what makes them so special...

Also, any info on the hotels you stayed in would be great too.

Thanks again!!!

Thai food in way better than Pinoy food. Thai ladies are way hotter than Pinoy ladies.

A real no-brainer.

I disagree about Thai women -- Filipinas beat them hands down. I've been to both countries and would pick a Filipina in a heartbeat. Oh, and the fact that Filipinas speak better English is a big plus, too.

So you think hookers in the Philippines are better? Laughing

Definately prefer the Philippines. I wouldn't stay in Manila, so the room costs won't be that bad. I stayed at Sunseekers resort hostel in Buang and it was awesome. Beautiful area if you love the beach (and who doesn't). I don't recall you asking about the women, but for the record Filapina women are much nicer and more beautiful than Thai. Sounds like you'll have quite the time wherever you go. Lucky dog...

I second that, and I hope to be hitting the Phils next month.

Anybody ever stay at Dave's Straw Hat in Boracay? Know of any other nice places under 80/night?

I leave on Friday... Man I hope it doesn't rain...

I stayed at Dave's Straw Hat Inn for one night last year and that was my last night at that place. The room is clean but the cable TV wasn't working properly, the room was really small AND the location wasn't that great. I ended up going to The Blue Mango right on White Beach, and have not regretted it!
