I'm not a veggie but I don't understand why so many meat eaters get hysterical in the presence of veggies. I don't eat any seafood and I don't get hysterics when I mention that.

captain obvious advises you to either:
1) ease your dietary restrictions a bit (do you REALLY feel bad about eating the bacteria in yogurt? do you eat honey?), or
2) learn to cook

I respect the idea of being a vegetarian, though I personally am not one, but I don't appreciate the militant vegetarians. I think Korea needs to open up more vegetarian restaurants and have restaurants that serve kimchee without the fish sauce. They need to give people more options. In general, I think there need to more vegetarian restaurants all over the world, and we need to reduce the consumption of meat. I do enjoy a good burger, myself, though I say that.

I suspect a few of the posters who've weighed in on this thread had the opportunity to tell me "their" opinions about veganism to my face, instead of hiding behind a moronic facade on the Internet.

What does the subject line even mean, anyway? Does this collection of idiotic socks actually stand for anything in real life? Or do "its" values change every time "it" logs into a new account? Call yourself a feminist under one name, send a woman a "gift" of Vagisil under another? Claim to oppose racism under one name, then use an anonymous sock to direct racial epithets against another poster? No wonder such a person doesn't understand the concept of veganism; this person has no concept of morality, period.

Here's a moral dilemma for you: Suppose for the sake of argument youve come to know the real-life identity of an Internet troll who spends most of his time at certain Web sites, under multiple user names, where he makes a hobby of promoting misogyny, racism and general idiocy. You have reason to believe his spouse doesnt know about her husbands Internet careerhis gifts of Vagisil to other women, the vulgar messages that went along with those gifts, the childish posts parodying Koreans (when hes married to a Korean), and all manner of anonymous nastiness that he would surely deny if confronted.

What do you do? Tell her? Keep it to yourself? If you were the troll widow, would you want to know?

No, it was virtual Vagisil. And a virtual buttplug to go along with it. Charming, eh?

I'd be very surprised if the OP wasn't the same person.

At least the quantity of meat is minescule which is good for our health. I'm personally not a vegan, but I'm close to it as in Korea meat is so expensive and in severly limited quantities. Here a pound of beef will serve about 40 people in a jiggae as only about 10 grams may be used per serving. A pound of fish serves about 20. The rice is the filler for any meal.

My deal with Korean food is the huge amounts of salt and MSG's, not to mention, the lack of fresh fruit and salads at school lunch and most restaurants. If they could cut down on salt and MSG's, you'd have something near perfectly healthy food. On this topic, it's said that Korean people don't have high blood pressure due to eating kimchee despite consuming large amounts of salt and mostly eating foods lacking nutritional value such as white rice.

As a vegan, you have rice, kimchee, fruits, and vegatables. That's it. It does make sense that eating less food and no meat would make you live the longest with fewer complications, but it's not any fun.
