why is power supply so important?
I mean a 10.000 won power supply does the job fine..
I have had expensive supplies, and cheap ones.. never found any difference... whats the reason for good power supply?

especially when you say its the most important thing..

The power supply is the life of your rig. If you have a cheapo PS that doesn't have enough wattage or amps on the 12V line(s) then your hardware will not run properly, or at all. When a cheapo PS decides its time to check out because its being constantly overstressed, there is always the possibility that it will take some of your other hardware with it as well.

Yep. I had several PSU flake out, cheap ones and they hosed my systems.. One thing about PSU's is that you can re-use them. The new vid cards also succk back a lott of juice so you need a good PSU. Some side effeccts can occur from bad power, like artifacting, BSODS, instability. I stick to Enermax, Fortron, Sparkle (cheapest of the bunch) but I prefer Enermax. They are efficient provide good clean power, have good fanss inside them and frankly they seem to last forever. I have an enermax PSU back home (350watt) going on to 7 years.

I've been using a Zalman 600w PSU for 9 months now without a problem. It's quiet and cool. I've also been using two Zalman HSF's. One for two years and another for 9 months. They do what they're supposed to do.

The Zalman PSU's are made in China by the FSP company and are identical electronically to the OCZ GameXstream 700 W.

I thought everybody knew that most electronics are made in China or Taiwan then just re-badged.

I knew that, but I think it's obvious "everybody" doesn't know.

Sorry I hate Zalman.. And they use to be made in Korea.. The PSU that cost me dearly was made in Korea. This was quite a while back but I still have a hatred for that company and their products.
