I think I saw them only once in Atlanta. At least thats what I remember. It was around the time El Duce was living upstairs at this dive called the Metroplex. That's why I remember. Never really like the Mentors though.

Love Rush. I've listened to all of their stuff except the VERY early stuff. Along with Moving Pictures. Rush is DIAMOND. I can't believe they're Canadian. Maybe you can.
I don't agree with your view that Dark Side of the Moon was 'pretentious crap' and 'most over-rated'. It's not PF's fault they got over-rated. That album, I'm sure, created alot of hippies. Maybe you don't like hippies.
It's easy to shoot stuff down when it's been in your ears for twenty years. And every generation worships it. Dark Side of the Moon is like that. But, twenty years later, if I heard it in Walmart I'd think 'oh, shit, shut the fark up already with the pretentious crap'. Because what I really hate is the Walmart. And PF's just rubbing it in the bastarts! They predicted Walmart when you play the album backwards. |

Chris Cornell's solo debut (can't and don't want to remember the title) was utter and total crap. Man, did I ever kick myself for spending 15$ on that garbage...
Best album? I'll go out on a limb and say Buena Vista Social Club - it still gets regular play at Hanson's! |

I only like their early stuff. Well, okay, maybe everything up through Moving Pictures. After that, no thanks.
Hard to narrow it down to the best CD that I've bought. Maybe Powerslave by Iron Maiden. Strangers in the Night by UFO is pretty damn amazing, too.
Worst . . . One would be the self-titled debut CD by some '70s band called Max Webster. I bought that CD back in '99 and sold it at a used CD store a month later. Several years later, I had the intro guitar riff to "Hangover" stuck in my head for days. I went back to that used CD store, and they still had the CD. Since I bought it again, I suppose that it's not the worst CD that I've paid money for.
If it weren't for the great guitar playing, I'd have to say In Trance by The Scorpions or any CD by Accept. |

Yes really I was really dissapointed with both his solo albums. If you have a chance, download this bootleg

BEST - NEIL YOUNG Live at Massey Hall. It's a 1971 concert with just Neil and an acoustic guitar. His voice was wonderful back then and he did every song perfectly in this performance. By far, the best cd I have bought in a long time and one of the best live recordings I have ever heard.
