Off to Cambodia on Saturday...
Am I best off changing my Won over here before i leave?
Also should I be getting Cambodian Riel or American Dollars?? Or Both..?

By the way only going for a week, so won't be a substantial amount of Wonga..
Flying into Phonm Penh Saturday, couple days there, then off to beach for couple days, then few days in Siem Reap before flying home from there..
Whistle stop tour i know, but that's a hakwon holiday for ya..
500,000 won plenty?

The US$ is the de facto currency of Cambodia. Prices are listed in dollars. The ATMs (now that they have a few) dispense dollars. You are best with dollars. I am not sure how they would look at Won. I don't know about where is best to exchange. I don't know how you like to travel, but I am sure you can get by for a week on $500. Easy as cake- It is cheap! |
