Hello,
I've posted this question in 2 previous threads with no response so I'm going to try posting my own thread and hope for the best. I'm currently looking to secure a position in Busan for October and have been working with a few different recruiters, one of them being RBI Korea. I've ran every search I can think of about this company to no avail.
So far the guy i've been corresponding with seems nice and honest enough but i'd like to cover my bases as best as possible.
Has anyone here worked with this company that can give me feedback, good or bad?
Thanks in advance!

I used a recruiter for my first job. Since then I have not used one.

I have nothing against them , but some people seem to.

My suggestion is that you find a job on your own, then.

I was just gonna recommend that one.

Joyce is great, she'll find you something decent.

In fact, my job is finishing up. It's a wonderful job! You wanna take it?

Thank you!

sarah, be careful because many posters on Dave's are recruiters pretending to be teachers.

Yeah, but don't be careful with me. I'm a teacher, trying to help his school, really! Cool

They look like decent folks to me, Sarahb. I like Canadians. But I can see some controversy brewing with this line...

Quote:

TAXES
The Income Tax for foreign English teachers will depend on your classification.
a) Employee: 2.5%
b) Independent Contractor: 3.3% - 3.5% (Usually with smaller schools)
Almost every school uses the Independent Contractor classification for E-2 VISA English teachers.
(Most school will not change this classification for you
. The difference works out to about $5 / week so does it really make a difference? Please check FAQ for more details.)
