Anyone here had one put in?
I have to have my wisdom tooth removed and with the one in front of that gone I will need a screw put in thru the gum (into the jawbone?) It's gonna cost a bit. What I'm wondering is pain. Is there any? |

Seoul National University hospital in Hyehwa is expensive, but top of the line and on global (western) standards. Give them a call. |

It was a little painful but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. It's about the same level of pain and overall discomfort as an extraction, possibly less. |

I was looking into implants (rather than dentures *ugh*) in Thailand. I know of a hospital in Bangkok that has superb before and after service for such procedures, at a reasonable cost.
I haven't done the research here, so I'm wondering what cost is like here (for comprison). |

Thanks guys. Nice to here that it might not be too painful, well, in comparison to other pain. Is there after pain, as well as the initial drilling?
Have a dentist, he's been doing it in the same place near my home for 20 years. He's an implant specialist apparently. 1.7m for the tooth. Goddamn. I don't know what's going to hurt more. |

First you have have the screws implanted into your gumline/bone. That takes about a month or so to heal. Then and only then do they actually fit the implant onto the screw. Then another short while for that to heal. |
