|
|
ok now I'm reading I'm supposed to have Time Machine on my Mac and it's some kind of back up program to use and organize for my hd but I can't find it!
where is it? it's not in the app folder - is it somewhere else ?
also I've been told I can't use my wonderful new external 250 g firewire drive because I just started using it to keep copies of my data on already - I'm supposed to have a separate drive JUST for back ups?
does anyone else do this? they are cheap so I don't mind but still - it seems a bit odd - sort of overkill -
thanks!! |

System Preferences --> Time Machine
Not sure about the rest....I don't use Time Machine, but from what I have read you should be able to use that drive. If all else fails, just partition it. |

No, it's not there - and I browsed anything that even remotely might be associated with it - |

anyway, if I click on "about this mac" it's not listed there under apps either - tho it's not in my finder window of course either |

I thought Leopard was Mac OS 9 - ??
ok, I found a file for my OS and yes, it's Tiger
I also found a download for an update which includes Time Machine but you're right - it appears to be in Leopard - perhaps that is the most recent -
anyway it's confusing am not sure what's with the animals and all -
thanks! |

Not only will you need Leopard OS X, but you will need a good sized external hard drive for back-ups. |
